The Commercial Mill was as far as I know a cooperative mill
that was built around 1861.In an advert from the Preston Guardian 13th May
1868 the mill was up for auction at the now long gone Brownlow Arms. Commercial
Mill in the end went for £13,250 to a John Mercer.In1886 the mill was
destroyed by fire and was rebuilt
