Early Roller-skates Old Clitheroe

This photograph of this strange looking character will be from around 1900, going off the other photographs that where is this box of plates.I didn't know that roller-skating had been around for so long.

A very odd looking gentleman.No doubt a good customer of the local skating rink that use to be where Dawsons is.Did everybody that use to go roller-skating use to look like this?!
