When electricity finally arrived in Clitheroe in 1926 the
words 'Electricity' was lit up with light bulbs across the top of the library
to prove the point.
The opening of the 'new' electricity showrooms that as far
as I can make out was on King Street on the corner of the road leading to
the market.
